When
the times comes to make final arrangements for your faithful companion,
what better way to reward a lifetime of love and devotion then by providing
a peaceful resting place at Petland Memory Park - A place for you to
come and visit your pet's final home and to quietly reflect on the wonderful
memories you shared.
Developed
in 1993, Petland Memory Park is a community pet cemetery sponsored by
the Society. It has been enhanced with numerous impressive features.
At it's entrance a handsome sign greets the visitor. Looking beyond,
there is a concrete walk leading to the garden gazebo, which is the
focal point of Petland.
Along
the concrete walk leading to the gazebo are interments on either side
with appropriate marble grave markers. This concept is known as "sidewalk
burials" and has proven very popular with Petland patrons.
To
the right of the entrance is a pleasing 40 foot long wall with a 10
foot return, which displays numerous plaques. These plaques are in remembrance
of departed pets which are not buried here. This is our Memory Garden
and provides a beautiful setting to memorialize former pets.
Another
L-Shaped wall can be found at the left rear of Petland. This is the
Scatter Garden where the remains of pets can be deposited. The wall
is another memorial wall to accommodate plaques to remember the pets
who have been left in the garden.
Plaques
are made available at a modes cost by the Petland staff and the Humane
Society benefits from each plaque purchased. Cremation services are
also made available through the Petland staff.
